Stats.RemoveStats Unable to initalise Soap Components

When removing a domain from your HELM Control Panel you might see these error messages in your log file:

--------------------------------------------------
2004-07-30 16:35:09 Stats.RemoveStats Unable to initalise Soap Components
2004-07-30 16:35:09 Stats.IStat_Execute Unable to initalise Soap Components
2004-07-30 16:35:09 CStatsInstal.RemoveEx Unable to initalise Soap Components
2004-07-30 16:35:09 CDomain.DeleteDomainEx Unable to initalise Soap Components

----------------------------------------------------

This might be due to service(usually smarterstats or smartermail) installed on your Helm but the actual software removed from your server. If you want to remove the service from Helm services you may also see this error:

Unable to remove service as it is currently in use

Solution is to this is simple:

  1. Go to Home > System Settings > Servers > SERVERNAME > SERVICE NAME
  2. Check the URL and get the "ServiceID" value
  3. Open your Helm database in Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
  4. Run this SQL statement SELECT * FROM HostDomain_ServiceSet WHERE ServiceSetId = [PUT YOUR SERVICE ID HERE FROM THE 2nd STEP]
  5. The list is showing the domains using this service. You can simply delete these records and after that you will not get any error messages when you delete domains.
